A Really Simple Syndication or RSS feed is a family of Web feed formats. RSS is used on websites to allow the publication of regularly updated items from an external source.
For example, a healthcare company may wish to include an RSS feed featuring the latest health news headlines from the BBC website on its own internal Web page. It would do this using an RSS feed which would publish the latest headlines, updating the feed automatically as necessary.
