DORSET Digital marketing agency Intergage and its staff are getting on their bikes this month to help raise funds for a charity close to their hearts: The Jennifer Trust for Spinal Muscular Atrophy (JTSMA), which is a national UK charity providing a range of priceless support to families and health professionals. It also invests in promoting and supporting research into Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
Having gained the much needed support from the JTSMA after Intergage founding director, Harry Tansey’s daughter was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, Harry and his brother, Intergage Co-Founder Paul, have developed a personal and professional relationship with the JTSMA over the last 10 years.
They are looking for sponsors or cyclists to help The JTSMA to raise much needed funds, by embarking on a cycle ride taking in approximately 20 miles of beautiful Dorset scenery.
This year’s event, “On Yer Bikes 2”, organised for Saturday, 16th July from The Charlton Inn, in rural Charlton Marshall in Dorset, will mark the 10th anniversary of the original bike ride, which raised £12,315 for the JTSMA. The route has been devised to provide riders of all abilities a healthy, fun day out, taking in a few pubs along the way! For the more faint hearted, there is the option of a shorter 11 mile route.
Harry Tansey comments, “We hope as many people as possible will support On Yer Bikes on its tenth anniversary, either by pledging donations or joining us on the ride.”
He added, “We hope to raise as much money as possible and not have too many blazing saddles at the end of the day.”
