Overview
LCM Systems is a world leader in the design and manufacture of standard and bespoke load cells and load cell based instrumentation systems, used for a wide range of force measurement and weighing applications. Based on the Isle of Wight, the past 5 years has seen the business grow considerably to become the envy of its large, multinational competitors. Intergage, as LCM's Web partner of choice, has had a large influence on this success.
The problem
Before starting its relationship with Intergage, LCM had an existing Web site that was not performing to the standard that was expected. LCM therefore required a new Web site that reduced the need for worldwide offline marketing and provided a clear return on investment. It was also clear that LCM needed a large amount of technical control on a day-today basis over the new Web site.
The Intergage solution
Prior to implementing a solution for LCM, Intergage took the time to discuss in depth the organisation's Web requirements and create a solution that fitted the company perfectly.
The Intergage team then set about creating a Web site that reflected the technical nature of LCM's products yet still allowed for ease of navigation. The result was a site that has all of the information necessary to make an informed decision about which equipment to purchase, but at the same time isn't too overwhelming.
To reduce LCM's marketing costs, a large focus was put on the Search Engine Optimisation for the new Web site. Keywords were selected that ensured that potential customers around the world found LCM when they wanted to make a purchase. As a result, the new site has produced over 250 new customers for LCM, with over 15% being repeat customers!
