Below the fold is the common term used to refer to all of the items on a Web page that do not appear within your Web browser space when you load the page.
For example, an item that is ‘below the fold’ will be an item on the page that you have to scroll down to view. Any items ‘above the fold’ will be items appearing without the need for scrolling.
Positioning items above or below the fold on a Web page is key to conversion and great Web design.
