Above the fold definition

Above the fold is the common term used to refer to all of the items on a Web page that do appear within your Web browser space when you load the page without the need for scrolling.

For example, an item that is below the fold will be an item on the page that you have to scroll down to view. Any items above the fold will be items appearing without the need for scrolling.
